Ranunculus acris Meadow Buttercup CCC D N
Of the three common buttercups R. repens (Creeping Buttercup), R bulbosus (Bulbous Buttercup) and this one, R. acris is usually the tallest. It grows in fields and on grass verges as the name suggests and the sepals don't reflex as in R. bulbosus.
Ranunculus acris is found in all parts of the British Isles and Ireland including the outer islands.
