Polypodium interjectum

Polypodium interjectum (Intermediate Polypody) looks very much like Polypodium vulgare (Common Polypody) but is usually larger (longer fronds) which are narrower. It grows on walls like P. vulgare but prefers limestone and other base-rich habitats.

P. interjectum is common throughout England, Wales and Ireland and is more often found in the west than the east. The distribution thins as you go north.
