Poa trivialis Rough Meadow-grass CCC D N
This common grass is distributed so widely throughout all the islands of the British Isles that only the tops of the highest Scottish mountains escape its colonisation. It looks similar to Poa pratensis (Smooth Meadow-grass) but has a long ligule 5 to 10 mm in length which you can just about see in the left hand photograph.
