Phlomis lychnitis
Although the flowers are a similar colour to Phlomis fruticosa the plant which can often be the size of a small shrub, has linear revolute (turned up) leaves and is altogether a more delicate looking species which prefers rocky, or dry and gravelly soils. This one was growing from the soil in between cracks on a large rock. Phlomis lychnitis grows mostly in Spain and southern France.
