Parnassia palustris Grass-of-Parnassus
Although it is a lowland plant growing at the roadside in the north of Scotland, P. palustris in Europe is often an alpine found in marshy areas and damp meadows up to 8,200 feet - nearly twice as high as our highest UK mountain Ben Nevis.
