Flower colour for Paederota bonarota can be violet, blue or even pinkish but the pale yellow Paederota lutea (Yellow Veronica) which I saw many years ago in Slovenia (next web page) has a completely different habit with bigger, less succulent leaves. Both Paederota species are mostly found in the eastern Alps on limestone but this one typically flourishes in cracks in the rock rather than the wayside. Paederota bonarota can be found at heights of up to 8,000 feet.
