Ornithogalum nutans Drooping Star-of-Bethlehem
This attractive plant is found in eastern and central European coautries such as Bulgaria, Greece and Turkey but is commonly planted in British gardens as well. When fully grown the flowers will hand down or droop much more hence the English name and the Latin species name: nutans. It has escaped from gardens in the south east of England and in east Anglia but is not found much in the north. This plant was on a precarious slope in the hills surrounded by white daisies (Anthemis sp.) and Geranium purpureum (Little Robin).
