Myosotis sicula Jersey Forget-me-not RRR DDD N
We had been warned that this was very difficult to find as the pond around which the forget-me-not grew was hidden from view. Absolutely correct, but using map references and a GPS, we waded through the bracken, past the brambles to the pond which was sunken from view and there it was. It is supposed to be a June flowerer but by the time we got there on 21st June it was showing only the last of the flowers and was lying fairly prostrate on the mud of the pond's edge.
M. sicula grows on a couple of sites at Jersey and nowhere else in the British Isles.
