Muscari caucasicum
Although the flowers look quite similar to the more familiar (to me) Tassel Hyacinth (Muscari comosum), the leaves are strikingly wide, channeled and fleshy. As with other plants in this genus, the colourful flowers at the top of the plant are sterile. It is found on stony ground in western and eastern Turkey, Iran, Iraq and the Caucasus.
Taxonomy: Plantlist1.1 which hasn't been updated for a few years, says Muscari caucasicum is a synonym of Leopoldia caucasica just as Muscari comosum is a synonym of Leopoldia comosa. But Stace 4 which is newer hasn't changed any of the Muscari genus names so I'm sticking with the "old" name Muscari.
