Minuartia sedoides Cyphel RR DDD N
Also known as Mossy Cyphel, this procumbent alpine flowers earlier than many of the rest in June or early July so there is little left to see in flower except at the very highest altitudes in August. You can see this by the path on the way to the Ben Lawers corrie on the side of Beinn Ghlas.
M. sedoides is found on many of the northwestern mountains of the highlands of Scotland and on Skye but not in England, Wales or Ireland.
