Mentha x villosonervata Sharp-toothed Mint DD I
This hybrid between Mentha spicata (Spear Mint) and Mentha longifolia (Horse Mint) has sharp pointed teeth on the leaves and is very hairy. It is very likely to be of garden origin as the European mint M. longifolia does not grow in the British Isles.
Records are dotted sparsely throughout the British Isles with most in central England. There are very few records form northern Scotland or Ireland.
