Melaleuca rhaphiophylla Swamp Paperbark
Also known as the Needle-leaved Honey-myrtle this can be a small shrub or as in this case a large tree - even 10m tall. It is typically found along the banks of streams or rivers or in swamps as its name suggests.
M. rhaphiopylla is common along the coastal plain of south western Australia but as it prefers wet habitats the frequency of records seems to follow rainfall patterns and fewer are found as you go into the drier eastern interior.
