Marrubium vulgare White Horehound RR DD N
This plant grows dotted over the Great Orme and is often found in rocky places. It has a superficially similar appearance to the common Black Horehound Ballota nigra but with white flowers. The Hore in horehound is a corruption of hoar indicating the hoariness (or hairiness) of the leaves and stem.
M. vulgare is found dotted all over England and in Wales around the coast. There is very little in Ireland or Scotland.
