Lysimachia nemorum Yellow Pimpernel CC DD N
This is a procumbent (low) plant of damp or wet ground with bright yellow flowers and bright green leaves. The leaves are very similar to the unrelated Anagallis arvensis (Scarlet Pimpernel) but the flower is about twice the diameter.
Lysimachia nemorum may easily be missed growing at the bottom roadside ditches or in inaccessible wet places but it has been recorded from virtually all of Wales, England, Scotland and Ireland makingit a very common plant indeed.
