Lycoperdon perlatum Common Puffball
This was the only fungus I could identify from the dozen or so I saw on this beautiful sunny Autumn day. It was obviously a Puffball as its near neighbours had the characteristic hole from which spores puffed in a thin wisp of "smoke".
