Lonicera periclymenum   Honeysuckle CCC DD N

Lonicera periclymenum whole Lonicera periclymenum Burren

This is a common climbing plant of the hedgerows, with beautiful delicate blooms and one which many non botanists will recognise. The yellow fragrant blooms give way to red berries which the birds eat and thus sow the next generation in the hedgerows.

The right hand photo shows a plant peeping above the famous limestone pavement of the Burren in Ireland.

Lonicera periclymenum is one of the commonest plants in the British Isles forund throughout England, Wales, Ireland, Scotaldn and even the remote islands.
