Lobelia rhombifolia Tufted Lobelia
L. rhombifolia grows all over Australia and flowers earliest (Sept to December) here in Western Australia and as late as February in Tasmania where it is a threatened species. This part of the forest had very recently been burnt yet the Lobelia rhombifolia together with other species were thriving. Perhaps this is yet another Australian plant where seed germination is assisted by chemicals found in smoke.
