Leptospermum polygalifolium    Tantoon Eastern Australian Endemic

Leptospermum laevigatum whole Leptospermum laevigatum close

Also known as Jellybush or Yellow Tea Tree, this is quite a variable species with six subspecies. It will grow as a shrub to about 3m in height but can be a tree up to 7m in height. It is quite common occurring mostly in New South Wales but with substantial numbers of records from Queensland even from the far north.
