Juncus bufonius Toad Rush CCC D N
This is an extremely common rush and appears in summer anywhere in my garden and on the gravel path in numbers. It can be quite a bit bigger than J. ambiguus (Frog Rush) and has many stems with flowers branching off at different points up the stems.
Apart from a very few places on high hills J. bufonius is found everywhere in Great Britain. In Ireland it is found almost everywhere but is less common in central areas of the island.
