Isopogon dubius   Pincushion Coneflower Endemic

Isopogon dubius whole Isopogon dubius close

This endemic shrub was covered in blooms at the Dryandra site and it was a little taller than the compact shape described in some texts. The flowers are spectacular and so are cultivated for use in parks and gardens. Unlike some species which need exposure to smoke or fire I. dubius can be propagated from seed fairly easily.
