This is a weed of waste places and gardens but like many of the Hypericum family it has attractive yellow flowers. This one shows the red fruits as well.

H. androsaemum is common in Ireland and in the west and south of mainland Britain. Records are generally less common in the east and fewer in the far north of Scotland.
