Hydrocotyle vulgaris Marsh Pennywort CC DDD N
It isn't difficult to find the leaves of H. vulgaris but you can search many a large patch without finding any sign of flowers. My experience has been that when it grows in genuine marshy habitat, the flowers are hard to find (hence the DDD). In dunes slacks after the winter wet had disappeared flowers can be much easier to spot although it doesn't often grow here unless the ground is wet enough for long enough during the year.
H. vulgaris is found in most of the British Isles with a high density of records in the wetter west.
