Helianthemum oelandicum ssp alpestre Alpine Rockrose
This Hoary Rockrose is distinguished from the three other sub species (ssp incanum from Wales, ssp piloselloides from The Burren and ssp levigatum only from Teesdale) known from the British isles in that it isn't actually hoary. The leaves are long and narrow and are not hairy or tomentose at all. The plant itself is more shrub like, being about 20 to 30cm tall, than the rather decumbent species we know from the British Isles.
