Goodenia rosea Pink Velleia Endemic
The strange name of this plant which was present in the millions at Pindar, is because taxonomists in 2020 decided that instead of Velleia rosea S. Moore, this taxon is henceforth to be known as Goodenia rosea (S.Moore) K. A. Sheph. But although taxonomists have jurisdiction over the scientific names, they can't change common or English names so it is a Goodenia which is still called Pink Velleia. It can be this pale pink-white, clearly pink or pink-blue according to Florabase but it has to be seen in its multitudes apparently spreading through the bush to infinity, to appreciate what a stunning plant this is.
It is an inland species with records beginning just north of Shark Bay and going south in good numbers to the Perth Hills.
