Gompholobium polymorphum Endemic
The flowers on this plant can be red, orange or yellow and in the bushland surrounding our accommodation there were many examples which were bright orange. Not only were they to be found on the ground but part way up the trees too as this is a climbing plant. The owners of this place had very kindly labelled many of the plants in the bush and as long as you checked (one or two were totally wrong) they gave a a head start to the identification of a particularly large group of possibilities in the Fabaceae family.
Gompholobium polymorphum is found in the far south west of Australia from Esperance up to Perth in the north and a little way inland.
