Gladious italicus Field Gladiolus
This is such a common plant in fields and on verges that for a long time I ignored it assuming that there must be a photo somewhere in the collection - there wasn't. But on our orchid trip we passed a verge (see large photo) with many flowers that it looked as though it had been planted. In it were many Gladiolus italicus one of which is shown here.
