Geum urbanum

The habit of this plant is usually a long stem with a smallish yellow flower on the end so this one growing on a concrete step isn't quite typical. Also known as Herb Bennet, this plant readily hybridises with Geum rivale (Water avens).

G. urbanum is common throughout the British isles and Ireland.
