Geum pyrenaicum Pyrenean Avens
High in the hills above the lakes of this area there were a number of excellent alpines found including Gentiana pyrenaica, various Androsace species and a single plant of Geum pyrenaicum with its large rounded end leaflets. It grows in the Pyrenees at heights of up to 6,000 feet.
