Geranium x oxonianum Druce's Crane's-bill C DD I
This is a hybrid between Geranium endressii (French Crane's-bill) and Geranium versicolor (Pencilled Crane's-bill) and so sometimes has the purple veins which make G. versicolor so attractive. The colours range between the charactersitics of both parents making this hybrid sometimes difficult to distinguish from G. endressii with which it is often confused.
G. x oxonianum is a garden escape which has a large number of sites throughout England with a heavy concentration in the north west. It is dotted throughout Scotland, Wales and Ireland.
