Gentianella amarella ssp septentrionalis Autumn Gentian C DD N
This sub species of the common Gentianella amarella ssp amarella (Autumn Gentian or Felwort) is a northern plant. It is typically whitish in colour with reddish or purple flushed outer petals and smaller than Felwort.
There is a little in the Lancs and Yorks pennines some at this site in the North east of England and a little in the central Highlands but it is commonest around the north coast of Scotland and on the northern islands. It is absent from Wales, southern and central England or Ireland.
