Gentiana punctata Spotted Gentian
High in the alpine meadows this Gentian was common and being quite large was easy to spot. It was one of the highlights of this botanical trip to the alps but on return to the "lowlands" of Pontresina we found a few grew and flowered well at the lower altitudes near the hotel and on the way to the railway station.
