Galium sterneri

This is a plant most often found in neutral or acid grassland along with such as Potentilla erecta (Tormentil). It tends to be low lying although not procumbent and is often as in this photo tangled with the grass.

G. saxatile is common throughout Wales, Scotland and England except fro some patches near the fens. It is also found throughout Ireland.
