Galium boreale   Northern Bedstraw C DD N

Galium boreale whole Galium boreale close

This is a quite distinctive and robust bedstraw with four leaves per whorl and three clear veins in each leaf. It is well named Northern Bedstraw because its distribution in mainland Britain is, with a few exceptions in Wales, almost entirely in the north of England and Scotland. It is also found mostly in the west of Ireland.
