Euphrasia foulaensis Foula Eyebright RR DD N
Euphrasia plants are usually small but usually discernible in the grasslands of Britain but this one was widespread but not really very visible until you were on hand and knees. Many plants were glabrous, compact and has fleshy leaves but some were quite hairy raising the possibility of some hybridisation with hairier species like Euphrasia marshallii.
Euphrasia foulaensis grows in the far north of Scotland and on the outer islands but there is none to be found in England, Wales or Ireland.
