Epilobium montanum   Broad-leaved Willowherb CCC D N

Epilobium montanum

Probably the commonest of our willowherbs is this one. It will grow on verges, in pavement cracks, on waste ground and particularly likes your garden rockery. With its fluffy airborne seeds it has managed to populate the whole of the British Isles including most of the high ground in Scotland and all of Ireland. It has a four lobed stigma and toothed leaves with short stalks.
