Elytrigia repens Common Couch CCC DD N
This plant is one of the most persistent and fast growing weeds in my garden. It can reproduce by seeding but sends out rhizomes any small part of which can result in a new plant. If you were to let it flower then the height of a flowering stem can by in excess of 1 m. I'd like to give tips on how to get rid of this very successful plant but I don't know how - whatever I do it comes back.
Apart from a few areas of the Scottish Highlands E. repens is found everywhere in the British Isles and Ireland.
