Drosera x belezeana Godlingston Sundew DDD N
This hybrid between Drosera intermedia (Oblong-leved Sundew) and Drosera rotundifolia (Round-leaved Sundew) is remarkable in producing a profusion of leaves so close and tangled together than even from a distance you can see the red clusters of hybrid plants. Some of the leaves are nearly round and others more like D. intermedia and some are upright while both parents tend to produce leaves flatter to the ground. The plant is sterile.
Although there were old records of this plant in south Hampshire, the only certain site for D. x belezeana the British Isles is here on the bogs of Godlingston Heath.
