Dianthus carthusianorum No English name
This very pretty pink was flowering very late on a hillside where there had been a reasonable amount of rain preventing the drying out of the ground which can so often happen through summer in Europe. It does look superficially like other pinks but this one is common in the area. There are several sub species of this plant.
