Dactylis glomerata   Cock's-foot grass CCC D N

Dactlyis glomerata

D. glomerata was once grown as a crop so many of the plants we around are escapes from those days but it is now one of the commonest of the coarse grasses. It is found not only on grass verges, fields, in your garden, but in waste places and even on football terrraces.

It is found throughout the British Isles and Ireland.
