Cystopteris sudetica
Looking a little like Gymnocarpium robertianum (Limestone Fern) rather than a Bladder Fern like Cystopteris fragilis, this species was the only example we saw and was growing in deep shade. Cystopteris sudetica which is a deciduous, perennial plant can reach heights of 40 cm and tolerate temperatures as low as -23 Celsius.
It is native in Germany, Norway, eastern central Europe, parts of Siberia, Mongolia, Japan and China.
