Cyperus longus Galingale RR DD N
This is a native but also often planted in parks and gardens from which it escapes. This one looked as though it was in the right place at the edge of a pond but there were indications of "well meant" gardening in other parts of the reserve. It is however quite common the south of England although much of this may be introduced, thinning out as you go north with very little to be found from Cumbria northwards and hardly any in Scotland.
