Looking like a very spindly and delicate Saw-wort or Knapweed, this plant was easily hidden in the rest of the vegetation on the hillside where we first saw it. Like many of these insignificant plants, once you got used to what it looked like there were many more to be seen. It grows throughout out the Mediterranean countries and likes waste places and stony ground.
