Cornus suecica Dwarf Cornel R DD N
I have seen this in the Scottish highlands a few times particularly in Glen Clova but this is supposed to be the Southernmost site for a plant which prefers the high moors in peaty ground amongst low shrubs. The white parts of the flower are actually bracts not petals.
Records for C. suecica are almost entirely confined to northern Scotland although there is a little like this example from northern England. There is none in Wales or Ireland.
