Conospermum tenuifolium   Sprawling Smokebush Endemic

Conospermum tenuifolium whole Conospermum tenuifolium close

The common name is a good indication of the impression this plant gives. The very long stems end in a small cluster of typical Smokebush flowers from grass-like leaves. Because the usually density of flowers I associate with Smokebush plants was not there, at first I didn't recognise this little known plant as a Conospermum which is a member of the Proteaceae family. It is found only in the Sydney region and the Blue Mountains and a little further south in Australian Capital territory.
