Conospermum distichum   A Smokebush Endemic

Conespermum distichum Conespermum distichum close

This is a small shrub with a long carrot like tuber which has so many of these furry white and blue flowers, it looks from a distance like smoke. There are about 50 of these smoke-bushes which are endemic to western Australia and they are also members of the Proteacaea family. This species particularly prefers the sandy soil of this region of the Dryandra Forest area.
