Comesperma confertum
The seeds of this small shrub have tufts of hair which bend in such a way that they look like a comma. The name Comesperma reflects that (sperma means seed). Usually growing in damp places as this one was, Comesperma confertum can have purplish flowers as well as pink. It is found around the coastal belt of the far south west of Australia from approximately Margaret River to Esperance but is not found in eastern Australian states.
