Chorizema rhombeum Endemic
Another reddish/pinkish flame pea with a yellow centre provides quite an identification challenge, but in this case the distinctive ovate leaves help hugely. There are plenty of decent photos of this species on iNaturalist which also help. It was growing on a piece of waste ground near the South West Highway on the middle of nowhere - just the place to find new plants.
Chorizema rhombeum is not uncommon in S.W. Australia with plenty of records from around Perth southwards to Margaret River, inland from there and along the south coast to Albany.
