Ceratochloa carinata California Brome DD I
This American introduction (until fairly recently known as Bromus carinatus) was considered an unusual find 30 or 40 years ago but is not fairly common in the south of England particularly round the London area. It has spread northwards to give significant site in East Anglia, central and northern England but is still uncommon in Wales, Scotland and Ireland.
There was too much wind to photograph the whole plant so only these flowers on a sheltered rock would stay still for long enough.
