Cephalipterum drummondii   Pompom Head Endemic

Cephalipterum drummondii habitat Cephalipterum drummondii flower

We'd heard about the Spring everlasting flowers of course but so far hadn't seen any. Near Kalbarri these white flowers extended well into the bush and there were literally hundreds of thousands of them too. They can be cream, yellow or bronze as well as white. The occasional pink Schoenia cassiniana and yellow Waitzia acuminata were dotted amongst the pompom heads.
