Centaurium littorale Seaside Centaury RR DD N
This little Centaury is found in various dune systems of north Wales and the north west of England and often has dense flowering tufts of pink flowers. The leaves are strap like parallel sided quite unlike the others in the family particularly the common Centaurium erythraea (Common Centaury) with which it might be confused.
More often found along the coasts of Scotland as well as north Wales and Lancashire this plant is rare in southern England and very rare in Ireland.
